naive new beaters

@ Le Royale last night, Naive New Beaters took the stage...

Although they looked like a cracked out version of the Jonas Brothers, the group was pretty good! Nice retro sound and great feel. Half way through the gig, I managed to shatter a champagne glass so something must have felt right.

Baller video from the group below. Props.

chuck t, got a band-aid?

100 artists have come together to put out a new line of products for
Product(RED). Below is one that really caught our eye. Remixed Chuck Taylors. Classy (yet full of flavor). Created by vintage artist Dr. Romanelli. Thanks Doc.

(Holler if you're buying us a pair.)

schizohipsteria

brad walsh became one year older a few days ago. so, we joined the celebration at the annex. exciting! early in the evening, it was pretty much bk hipsters. and many free V2 vodka drinks. we danced, we mingled, 12:00 came around, christian did the universal sign for bedtime, and then hip hop played. fun but, it was time to go. first! we grabbed 3 free gift bags. free? yum. the tote was kinda cool. the lighter slash bottle opener was totally clutch. (which proved as a vital tool later in the night) ... found ourselves around west 12th and 8th smoking a cig outside of the beatrice inn? hmmm... the beatrice.

so we got in and got comfy. you'll quickly learn that the beatrice is not at all for the faint of heart or faint of looks. modelesque figures, parisian men, and socialite hipsters galore... as james brown, the cure, and even wutang clan played, i became so high on my environment alone. unlike chloe sevigny (whose bro owns this church of elite decadence), who was doing her own thing on something on the leather bench (but, let's be real i was jealous). hours had passed, drinks were imbibed, kirsten dunst danced, and cigs were smoked. only until "do you love me" played as we debaucherously swayed to the '62 hit in the swanky, smokey discoball lit dance floor did i fall in love with the beatrice inn. it was intoxicating like a drug... a really, really good drug.

so, all in a night... hipster overload you ask? at the annex? perhaps. but at beatrice? definitely not. a soiree in which classic new york sass meets modern manattan hipster with a twist of sexy rock and roll is far too seductive to steer clear from the hipster scene. (well, just not yet.) quite the cache. annex, we'll see yo ass laterrr.

P.S. note: go back to orchard st... for a superhero leather manthong.
