(Gaga Oh La) La Review

If I didn't think I could like Lady Gaga anymore, I was wrong. Why is she so cool? I went to her concert on Saturday with E and it was nothing short of amazing. Our seats rocked on the second tier / second row, so we had a perfect view. Her best song was Speechless... just her and a piano. She relentlessly kept kicking the piano with her feet and (of course) stood up on the bench and played flawlessly.

At the beginning of the show she talked about how she was having 4 dates with Radio City, and this was only her third (she also played Sunday). She continued to say on a third date, she wasn't sure if she could go all the way. Everyone laughed, but booed at the same time. She then continued, "...but at least I won't feel like a slut if I suck d*ck." I died.

I heard she was at 1Oak on Sunday...WHAT! The club might suck, but I would have been there in a seocnd for Gags. See you at MSG in May my Lady.

clashing at the favela of LOVE

seriously, i love LOVE. well, not the essential element of amor... but the underground club on macdougal. sooo dope. sooo sexy. one of the best soundsystems in the city. plus great DJs... made for a great time saturday night.

these irish DJs kicked off the night as people started coming in. They were pretty euro-housey. nonetheless, sounded awesome. when roxy cottontail took on the ones and twos, the crowd took over the dance floor. her electro set prepared the stage for dj blaqstarr who not only tore it up, but even sang live. the bass was so divine. perfect match for sujinho! big ups to suji for putting together a nice line up. he threw it down with a mix of baile funk and techno. i think we even heard axwell's "i found you" AND a remix of "lollipop".

good music? check. good club? check check. fun people? obvs check! i think our friend had a crush on mike the bartender. if you're reading this, hit us up! drinks were dee-lish. dozia, a really chill dj from philly, rounded up the night. at around 4:30AM, blaqstarr and i were starving so we found ourselves at papaya dog, in line with an AX guido and some reggaeton-blasting girls. ah new york, we love you. thanks for an awesome night sujinho, meanred, nossa, mad decent, and all of you party children. stay sassy.
